Outbound Sales

Outbound works when the contact data and the sending sequence sit inside one system, and it fails when they do not. We run prospecting on Apollo and Amplemarket for our own pipeline and for client RevOps work across India, UAE, US, and UK. This page states what each tool is for and which one belongs at which stage.

The problem this hub solves

Most outbound stalls on data, not on copy. A list bought from one source and sent from another gives no way to trace which segment replied, and thus every sequence is rewritten on opinion rather than on reply data.

Deliverability is the second failure. Sending from the primary domain, ramping too fast, and skipping the opt-out line move a mailbox to spam within weeks, and a burnt domain takes months to recover.

The third failure is the definition of the ideal customer profile. A sequence sent to a list assembled without revenue, headcount, and technology filters produces replies that never qualify, and thus the effort is spent on meetings that cannot close.

Who this is for

Agencies, consultancies, and B2B teams selling a defined service to a definable list.

Founders already booking meetings by hand who need the same motion to run without them present.

Teams with a sending domain they are willing to keep separate from the primary domain.

Anyone whose ideal customer profile can be written as filters: revenue band, headcount, geography, technology in use.

Who should not buy yet

Brands selling to consumers; outbound email is a B2B motion and D2C money belongs in the WhatsApp and email hubs.

Teams with no case study, no proof, and no defined offer, because outbound compresses the sale and needs the proof ready.

Anyone unwilling to run a separate sending domain and a warm-up period of several weeks.

Teams with nobody to answer replies within one working day, since a stale reply is a lost meeting.

The tools we run: Apollo and Amplemarket

Both platforms combine contact data with sequencing. We run Apollo as the working system for our own prospecting, and we evaluate Amplemarket where the requirement is heavier on data quality and multichannel.

Apollo

Apollo combines a contact database, list filters by revenue, headcount, geography, and installed technology, email sequencing, a dialler, and CRM sync. We run our own prospecting on it, which is why the setup notes on the detail page come from live use rather than from a demo.

Where it wins: one system from list to sequence to reply, at a price point that suits a small team. Where it does not: data accuracy on Indian mid-market contacts needs verification before send, and thus we treat the list as a starting set rather than as truth.

Amplemarket

Amplemarket is a multichannel outbound platform covering data, email, LinkedIn touches, and deliverability tooling in one place. It sits above Apollo on price and targets teams running outbound as a primary revenue channel rather than as a supporting one.

Where it wins: data validation and deliverability controls built into the send path. Where it does not: the cost only makes sense once outbound carries a defined pipeline number, and thus we do not put an early-stage team on it.

How we run it in delivery

01

Profile before list

The ideal customer profile is written as filters and signed off before a single contact is pulled. A list built without that step cannot be evaluated afterwards.

02

Domain and warm-up

Sending runs from a separate domain with its own mailboxes, ramped over several weeks at 20 to 30 new contacts per mailbox per day. The primary domain never carries cold volume.

03

Value-first sequences

Each of five touches gives something usable, a benchmark, a checklist, or a teardown, and the ask stays soft until the prospect replies. Every mail carries an opt-out line.

04

Reply routing

Replies are triaged the same working day into qualified, not now, and not a fit, and the not-now set moves to a monthly newsletter rather than being dropped.

05

Write-back

Outcomes are written back against the original filters, and thus the next list is built from what replied rather than from what was assumed.
